A Night at the Opera? How about a night at the circus instead! Come join the students of Ignite’s Social Circus Program as they pay tribute to Queen in this fun and original cirque-nouveau style show!
Written and choreographed by the students of Ignite Circus, Don’t Stop Me Now will follow the journey of a young woman as she runs away to join the circus. Audiences are invited to join the circus too by dancing and singing along while being entertained by an energetic cast of acrobats, hula hoopers and jugglers – all set to the soundscape of classic Queen songs.
Our students began their circus training just this time last year, when Ignite’s Social Circus was launched in partnership with Thrive. Following our attendance at the National Forum on Social Art in Quebec City in February, the students have now been invited by Cirque Hors Piste to participate in a project that will focus on the development of youth leaders across the country. Their next adventure will be to participate in this project, a collective creation that will feature collaborations with youth organizations from all across Canada, taking place in Montreal in January, 2020.
100% of the proceeds from ticket sales will go towards funding this opportunity for the students.
